Hospitals & Medical Centres
In clinical environments, infection control is non-negotiable. Wall vinyl provides a smooth, non-porous surface that withstands aggressive cleaning agents and frequent washdown without deteriorating. Combined with coved floor vinyl, it meets the hygiene requirements of procedure rooms, corridors and wet areas.

Our Commercial Wall Vinyl Process
1. Surface Preparation. We assess the wall substrate for adhesion suitability, moisture content and surface flatness. Any loose material, old adhesive or contaminants are removed and the surface is repaired and primed or coated with feather finish as required.

2. Set Out. Before any adhesive is applied, we carefully plan the layout of the wall vinyl sheets. Large objects protruding from the wall are marked out and pre cut on each drop of vinyl.
Join placement is critical — all seams must land a minimum of 100mm from any internal or external corner. This prevents joins from opening at the most vulnerable points on the wall, ensuring a long-lasting, watertight installation.

3. Installation. Wall vinyl is cut to size and adhered using contact adhesive for the corners and top and bottom of each sheet. Vinyl adhesive is applied on the bulk of the surface and troweled to create an even layer. Sheets are carefully aligned and pressed firmly to eliminate air pockets and ensure full contact across the surface.
The wall vinyl is heated up with a gas torch, rolled into the glue from the center working outwards.
We will then heat up the corners and slowly form the vinyl into the shape of the corner using various tools.

4. Heat Welding. Every join between sheets is heat welded. We also weld the floor vinyl to the wall vinyl to ensure a watertight seal. We groove or bevel the vinyl to prepare for welding. Then pvc weld rod is fed through a plastic welder. Once welded, the excess weld rod is sliced away using various tools.
